Features and specifications in this description are as the brand describes them.

Overview

The EZVIZ WLAN Door Viewer is a wireless digital peephole replacement that displays visitors on a 5.5-inch colour touchscreen mounted inside the door. It captures video at 4K resolution with a 155-degree wide angle and is powered by a rechargeable 7100mAh lithium battery. The device is designed for households seeking a visual record of doorstep activity without running cables.

Installation requires no wiring and suits doors between 35 and 105 millimetres thick with existing peephole diameters from 14 to 50 millimetres. Motion events and visitor footage can be stored on a microSD card up to 512 gigabytes or via a cloud subscription, and the unit connects to a smartphone app over Wi-Fi for remote viewing and two-way audio.

Key features

• 4K video and wide field of view: the manufacturer lists 4K resolution and a 155-degree viewing angle, with an 8-megapixel effective still resolution.
• Rechargeable battery operation: a 7100mAh lithium battery is stated to provide several months of use between charges, eliminating the need for mains wiring.
• AI-assisted motion detection: the brand says a PIR motion sensor and AI person detection identify familiar faces and reduce false alerts, sending Wi-Fi notifications to a connected smartphone.
• Two-way audio and image correction: visitors can be spoken to via the app, and the manufacturer claims WDR and distortion-correction technologies prevent overexposure and image warping.
• Flexible recording options: video can be saved locally on a microSD card up to 512 gigabytes or stored in encrypted cloud service with a subscription after a seven-day trial.
• Indoor touchscreen display: a 5.5-inch colour screen inside the door allows household members to see visitors before opening.
