The Connect Smart RGB LED Light Bulb (model CSH-B22RGB10W) is a 10W smart lighting option from Australian brand Laser Corporation. Built with a standard B22 bayonet base, it is designed to replace traditional bulbs in compatible ceiling sockets, table lamps, and floor fittings. Connect SmartHome lists the bulb's output at 1,000 lumens, offering 16 million RGB colours alongside tunable white light ranging from warm 2700K to cool 6500K daylight. The bulb connects directly to home networks over Wi-Fi without requiring an external hardware bridge, allowing users to manage dimming schedules, colour presets, and power via the free Connect SmartHome mobile application.
Who it suits
This bulb suits renters and homeowners who already use Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa and want straightforward, hub-free smart lighting. Because it twists into existing B22 bayonet sockets, renters can swap out standard bulbs without altering any electrical fixtures. It is also suitable for households seeking flexible lighting that can switch between bright task lighting during the day and warmer or coloured scenes at night.
However, users with Apple Home, Samsung SmartThings, or Matter platforms should look at other options, as the product does not support these environments. It is also unsuitable for rooms wired with wall-mounted hardware dimmers, as Connect SmartHome states the bulb must only be dimmed via software controls.
Australian notes
The bulb is designed for Australian mains power, operating at 220–240V AC. Its standard B22 bayonet fitting makes it compatible with widely used light sockets throughout Australian residential homes.
Like many entry-level smart devices, the bulb operates solely on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi bands (802.11b/g/n) and does not support 5 GHz networks. Retail listings note that if you run a modern mesh or dual-band router, you may need to temporarily pause the 5 GHz band to complete pairing. Australian retailers including Harvey Norman and The Good Guys list the bulb with a 12-month manufacturer warranty. The manufacturer specifies that the bulb is strictly for indoor use and rates its LED lifespan at up to 25,000 hours.
