The Electrolux UltimateHome 700 Robotic Vacuum & Mop (model EFR71222DS) is a 2-in-1 automated floor cleaner supplied with an auto-emptying Clean Station. Electrolux states that the unit delivers up to 4,000Pa of suction on maximum mode to pull dust and debris from both hard floors and carpets, paired with a mopping attachment to wipe hard surfaces in the same run. Navigation is handled via a top-mounted LiDAR module, which maps floor plans to plot efficient paths around furniture. Once a cleaning cycle finishes, the robot returns to the Clean Station to charge its 14.8V lithium-ion battery and transfer debris into an internal disposable bag.
Who it suits
This robot vacuum suits single-level homes and apartments with open-plan layouts mixing floorboards, tiles, and low-pile carpets. Households looking to reduce daily maintenance will benefit from the Clean Station dock, which eliminates the chore of emptying the robot's onboard dustbin after every run. Electrolux rates the runtime at up to 140 minutes in quiet vacuuming mode, providing coverage for up to 140 square metres of floor space.
Those needing intensive floor scrubbing may want to look elsewhere, however. The UltimateHome 700 uses a flat mopping pad attachment rather than spinning or vibrating scrubbing discs, making it suited to light maintenance wiping rather than stubborn kitchen spills. In addition, full battery replenishment takes up to six hours, which limits how quickly the device can resume cleaning in very large floor plans that exceed a single charge.
Australian notes
The Electrolux UltimateHome 700 is supplied for the Australian market with an Australian power plug and operates on standard 230–240V mains electricity. Electrolux Australia provides a two-year manufacturer warranty on the unit, which applies alongside your consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.
Connecting the device to the Electrolux app requires a standard 2.4GHz Wi-Fi frequency band; users with combined dual-band mesh routers may need to temporarily pause 5GHz bands during initial setup. Consumables such as side brushes, pleated filters, mopping pads, and compatible replacement bags are stocked through local appliance retailers and Electrolux spare parts distributors. Because the navigation system relies entirely on LiDAR sensors rather than optical video cameras, it raises fewer indoor privacy questions for privacy-conscious households.
