The Levoit Core 300S (model HEAPAPLVSAU0136Y) is a compact cylindrical smart air purifier designed for domestic indoor spaces. According to Levoit Australia, the unit provides a Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) of 240 to 258 m³/h. This covers spaces up to 21 square metres at approximately five air changes per hour, or up to 50 to 54 square metres at two air changes per hour. Filtration is handled by a three-stage drum combining a nylon pre-filter, an H13 True HEPA layer that captures 99.97% of particles down to 0.3 microns, and an activated carbon stage to capture household odours. An AirSight Plus laser dust sensor monitors particulate matter (PM2.5), displaying air quality via a colour-coded ring and enabling automated fan speed adjustments.
Who it suits
This unit suits Australian renters and homeowners seeking particulate filtration for bedrooms, home offices, or medium living spaces. Measuring 220 by 220 by 360 millimetres and weighing under 4 kilograms, it can be relocated between rooms with minimal effort. It fits households using Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant for voice control and automation through the free companion VeSync application. Smart-home builders using Home Assistant can also integrate the purifier via an existing community-developed integration.
Households built around Apple Home or Samsung SmartThings should look elsewhere, as the Core 300S does not natively support these platforms or the Matter standard. It is also unsuitable for those wanting automated air cleaning based on chemical vapours or cooking smells, as its onboard sensor does not analyse VOC levels or gases.
Australian notes
Australian retail units are built for local mains power (220–240V, 50/60 Hz) and ship with an Australian plug, consuming a rated 23 to 26 watts under normal use. Wi-Fi setup is limited strictly to 2.4 GHz networks, meaning dual-band routers will need to broadcast a compatible 2.4 GHz band to complete onboarding. Retailers such as JB Hi-Fi and Harvey Norman supply the purifier with a two-year Australian manufacturer warranty. Replacement cartridges require swapping the entire 3-in-1 cylindrical assembly, which Levoit states should be replaced every six to eight months depending on usage.
