Smart Mirabella Genio Wi-Fi Powerboard

The Mirabella Genio Wi-Fi Powerboard (model I003633) is an indoor four-outlet smart power strip designed to bring remote switching, scheduling, and surge protection to standard Australian appliances. According to Mirabella's product documentation, the board provides four individually controllable 240V mains sockets—including one wide-spaced socket intended for bulky transformers—alongside three USB charging ports (two USB-A and one USB-C) sharing up to 2.1A total output. It links directly to home Wi-Fi via the Mirabella Genio mobile app, allowing homeowners and renters to automate connected electronics, entertainment gear, or seasonal festive lighting without requiring a dedicated hardware bridge.

Who it suits

This powerboard suits renters and homeowners looking for a straightforward way to automate clusters of plug-in appliances from a single wall point. It is particularly practical for festive displays such as Christmas tree lights and animated villages, desk setups, or media consoles where multiple gadgets share space and benefit from distinct on/off schedules. Users already invested in the Mirabella Genio, Tuya, Amazon Alexa, or Google Assistant ecosystems will appreciate the voice and app control options.

Conversely, households running Apple Home or seeking local-only Matter control should skip this model, as Mirabella does not list native HomeKit or Matter support. It is also unsuitable for high-draw electronic setups where fast USB-C Power Delivery is needed, because the USB ports supply a combined 2.1A maximum, suitable primarily for low-draw accessories rather than modern phone fast-charging or laptop power.

Australian notes

The Mirabella Genio Powerboard is built for Australian standard 230V–240V mains supply with a maximum rating of 10A (2400W). According to distributor specifications, it carries internal surge and overload protection and is terminated with an Australian three-pin right-angle plug on a 1.4-metre lead. Because it is a plug-in appliance rather than a hardwired fixture, installation does not require an electrician and is fully tenant-friendly. However, Mirabella specifies that the board is strictly for indoor use; if you are running festive displays or patio equipment, keep the board sheltered indoors or consult your state's electrical safety regulator regarding outdoor socket safety requirements.

Pairing requires an active 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Mirabella documentation notes that dual-band home routers and Telstra Smart Modems merging 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands may require band steering to be temporarily paused during pairing. Mirabella International provides local customer support and standard Australian warranty coverage.
