The WiZ Colour A60 E27 Smart Bulb is an 8.5 W LED globe designed to fit standard Edison screw fixtures. According to WiZ specifications, it outputs 806 lumens (equivalent to a 60 W incandescent globe) with a colour rendering index of 80 or higher. The globe produces both 16 million colours and tunable white light ranging from 2,200 K to 6,500 K. It connects directly to home networks via 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi with Bluetooth assisting during onboarding, removing the need for a proprietary hardware bridge. The bulb supports Matter, enabling native cross-platform functionality with Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, SmartThings, and Home Assistant.
Who it suits
This bulb suits renters and homeowners who want scheduled colour and white lighting without altering existing wiring or purchasing additional bridge hardware. Because it uses a standard screw fitting, renters can replace existing bulbs and take them when moving. It also suits mixed smart home environments; WiZ confirms Matter certification allows the bulb to pair directly into ecosystems like Apple Home. For users running Home Assistant, the platform supports the bulb through both Matter and a native local WiZ integration. Households installing multiple WiZ devices can also utilise SpaceSense, a built-in feature that detects motion between two or more WiZ lights in the same room without separate sensors or subscription fees.
However, it should be skipped if your home uses hardwired wall dimmers, as WiZ specifies the globe cannot operate on circuits connected to traditional dimming switches. It is also unsuitable for outdoor or damp fittings, as the housing is rated strictly for dry indoor use.
Australian notes
In Australia, the WiZ A60 bulb is rated for local 220–240 V AC supply at 50–60 Hz. It features an E27 Edison screw base; ensure your light fitting uses an E27 socket rather than the B22 bayonet base frequently found in Australian homes.
The globe connects only to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi bands (802.11 b/g/n). If your home router uses a combined 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz network name, you may need to temporarily pause 5 GHz during initial pairing. The product includes a two-year manufacturer warranty in Australia. If you plan to remove existing wall dimmers or alter fixed lighting circuits, that is generally work for a licensed electrician; check your state's electrical safety regulator.
