The Anker Solix C1000 (model A1761) is a portable power station providing a 1,056 Wh capacity and a continuous AC output of 1,800W. Designed for mobile and emergency power, it features a lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery chemistry rated for more than 3,000 cycles to 80% capacity. The hardware weighs 12.9 kg and provides nine output ports, including four Australian 240V AC sockets, two USB-C ports (up to 100W and 30W), two USB-A ports, and a 12V car socket. App control and monitoring operate via the Anker App over Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi without any ongoing subscription.
Who it suits
The Solix C1000 suits campers, 4WD tourers, and households needing portable electricity for appliances, power tools, and electronics away from mains power. It also serves as emergency backup for essential household loads during blackouts. Anker SOLIX documentation states the unit features an off-line UPS mode with a transfer switch time of under 20 milliseconds, which keeps standard electronics running during an outage, though it is not a zero-millisecond online UPS. Those wanting to expand capacity can add a single optional BP1000 expansion battery to reach 2,112 Wh.
Buyers requiring smart platform automation should look elsewhere. Anker SOLIX does not provide support for Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, SmartThings, or Matter, and official local Home Assistant integrations exclude portable units. It is also unsuitable for EV charging, and users running sensitive equipment should note that the 2,400W SurgePad feature lowers operating voltage to power heating elements and will not power motor-driven tools.
Australian notes
Units sold through Australian retailers such as Bunnings, Tentworld, and Harvey Norman feature four standard Australian 240V three-pin AC sockets, avoiding the need for overseas plug adaptors. The unit accepts standard 240V mains recharging at 1,000W normally (throttling up to 1,300W on UltraFast mode), as well as DC or solar input up to 600W. Anker SOLIX notes that UltraFast charging requires battery temperatures around 20°C or higher, slowing down in colder weather. Simultaneous AC and DC charging is unsupported because mains AC takes priority. Local buyers receive a 5-year manufacturer warranty, and Wi-Fi connectivity requires a dedicated 2.4 GHz network band as 5 GHz is unsupported.
