The Ecovacs Deebot T30 Pro Omni is a combined robot vacuum and mop paired with a multi-function Omni docking station. According to Ecovacs, the unit delivers up to 11,000 Pa of suction and uses an anti-tangle main brush with angled bristles to reduce hair tangling. Mopping duties are handled by dual rotating mop plates alongside an adaptive extending arm that Ecovacs claims cleans within 1mm of skirting boards and edges. The robot uses TrueMapping 2.0 LiDAR navigation alongside TrueDetect 3D 3.0 structured light obstacle avoidance to navigate floor plans and avoid obstacles, and it can climb thresholds up to 20mm. Its docking station automates routine maintenance by collecting dust, washing mop pads with hot water, drying them with heated air, and refilling the on-board water reservoir.
Who it suits
This robot vacuum suits households with mixed floor coverings, including hard surfaces and low-pile carpets. With Ecovacs quoting up to 290 minutes of runtime from a 5,200mAh battery, it can handle larger single-level Australian floor plans before requiring a recharge. Homes with pets or long hair will benefit from the tangle-reducing brush roller and high suction rating for lifting fur from floor coverings. Its 9mm auto-lifting mopping plates allow it to mop tiled or floorboard sections and vacuum flat rugs in a single continuous clean.
However, homes with medium- to high-pile carpet or thick shag rugs should exercise caution. A 9mm lift height does not provide sufficient clearance to stop wet mop pads from brushing against thicker pile, making manual no-mop exclusion zones necessary in the app. Buyers wanting integration with Apple Home or Matter will also need to look elsewhere, as Ecovacs limits voice and ecosystem support to Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, and its internal YIKO assistant.
Australian notes
Units purchased through official Australian retailers come supplied with an Australian power cable. Ecovacs Australia covers the Deebot T30 range with a 24-month manufacturer warranty, backed by statutory consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.
Network pairing is done through the Ecovacs Home app; check Ecovacs' setup guide for supported Wi-Fi bands. Renters and homeowners should also consider the physical dimensions of the Omni base station, which measures approximately 409 x 490 x 480mm with the station weighing about 10.4kg and the robot about 4.1kg. The dock requires continuous access to an Australian power outlet and unimpeded space around its ramp for reliable docking and navigation.
