The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X20+ (model C102) is an automated cleaning system featuring a robot vacuum paired with a multi-function self-cleaning base station (model JCZ2402). According to Xiaomi Australia, the robot delivers up to 6,000 Pa of suction power, utilising LDS laser navigation and structured light sensors for obstacle avoidance. The dock manages automated dustbin emptying into a 2.5-litre disposable bag—rated by the brand to last up to 75 days—while washing the dual rotating mop pads from twin 4-litre water reservoirs.
Who it suits
This model suits households predominantly finished with hard floors such as tiles, timber, or vinyl, combined with low-pile floor rugs. The dual spinning mop pads operate at 180 rpm and lift automatically when carpet is detected. However, because the lift height is capped at approximately 7 to 10 mm, it is not suitable for medium- or high-pile carpets unless you configure no-mop exclusion zones inside the app. It also suits buyers who want an automated maintenance dock without paying software subscriptions, as Xiaomi provides complete mapping and scheduling controls free of charge. Prospective buyers should note that the vacuum does not carry an internal water tank, requiring it to return to the dock periodically to re-wet the pads during extensive mopping sessions. Those requiring heated water washing or hot-air pad drying should also look elsewhere, as the dock washes with unheated water and uses room-temperature airflow to dry the pads.
Australian notes
Official Australian stock operates on local 220–240 V, 50/60 Hz power and comes supplied with a standard Australian three-pin mains cord. According to Xiaomi's technical documentation, the base station draws up to 1,000 W during automated dust extraction and 30 W during drying and charging. Networking is strictly restricted to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connections, meaning dual-band routers broadcasting combined 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks may require temporary band separation during initial app setup. Voice control and home automation are supported through Google Home and Amazon Alexa via the Xiaomi Home app. Official support is not provided for Apple Home, Matter, or SmartThings, and no official Home Assistant integration exists. For local support, official units purchased through authorised Australian retailers include a 24-month manufacturer warranty.
