Overview
The Kwikset Powerbolt 250 is an electronic deadbolt with a 10-button keypad that provides keyless entry for residential doors. Finished in satin nickel with a transitional design, it is suited to homeowners who want programmable access control without smart-home connectivity. The lock installs with a screwdriver and includes BILT app guidance with voice, text and animation instructions.
The lock is powered by four AA alkaline batteries, which the brand says last at least 12 months. It features SmartKey Security technology that the manufacturer states protects against advanced break-in techniques and allows the lock to be re-keyed to any KW1 key in seconds. The keypad illuminates when tapped for visibility in low light.
